Description:

This is the legacy version of Metrostroi addon. Do not install this version of the addon unless you need old functionality from the pre-update version of Metrostroi.The models and all other content are the same – the only difference is that this version has the old scripts! Please click on this text to go to the up-to-date version of this addon.The new version is faster and has more trains – this version is just provided for people who for some reason want old functionality back. This addon is not maintained.

Old description:
Features
– Fully simulated 81-717 and Ezh3 metro trains – with all the electric circuits and pneumatic systems. Every relay of the train is modelled. Refer to books inside the train cabins for more information about how to drive them.
– Realistic train perfomance and physics
– Large map for driving subways on
– AI trains which follow schedules and a basic schedule system for player driving
– Bogeys and special equipment for use with custom contraptions. Metrostroi bogeys have proper friction, sound and built-in motor, as well as pneumatic brake.
– Basic Tatra T3 tram model
– Basic 81-7036/7037 train models
– Passengers on stations which take subway trains for a ride
– Detailed sound design of the trains

This map is a work-in-progress subway map with two metro lines. It features soviet-style subway stations, ARS/ALS system for traffic control.

Train models are from Trainz simulator and belong to their corresponding authors. Used without permission for purposes of prototyping a better metro train simulator.

Metrostroi is a prototype for a different metro simulator. These features are not available in these trains:
– 81-717 train is based on Ezh3 model and lacks some 81-717 specific features (ventilation, proper BPSN modelling)
– Some 81-717 indicators are based on the manuals and might be connected to slightly wrong circuits.
– 81-717 circuit breakers are actually from Ezh3 and don’t match up with what they should really be in real train.
– Emergency controls are not implemented
– ARS/ALS system modelling is simplified and based on the manual and not electric circuits
– ARS/ALS does not trigger emergency brake valve (this valve is not installed on the train)
– UAVA system is not installed on trains (no emergency brake when running red lights)
– While all perfomance data more or less matches real world one, some changes had to be made for it to work nicely with GMOD maps
