Description:

***MAKE SURE TO HAVE INFINITE ELECTRIC BEFORE SPAWNING!!!***

(Credits to Jesse Gillett for the Video)

I removed most of the functionality of the lifeboats except for the Cutter Lifeboats and Collapsibles A and B.
This should help reduce the amount of separate bodies and try and help the game run a bit faster and help some with the slow motion feeling once spawning the ship. The slow motion type feel is still noticeable in this new optimized version but it isn’t as much and it should make it easier to move around the ship any.

Presenting the R.M.S Titanic. After 7 months of constant development and 1,100 hours of building and research, it has been completed. After a few bumps in the road such as the confusion with the recent 1.0 Update, I was still able to figure out and continue development. After being a Titanic Enthusiast for the past decade, I began working on it starting since April 25 of 2020, being determined to finish this as a big project throughout the outbreak of Covid and quarantines. This Titanic will be like nothing you have ever seen ever before here on the world of Stormworks. This Titanic comes with many countless sets of Interior which has mostly not ever been seen before in Stormworks, including the first 2 Boiler rooms and the Engine room itself completely fitted out and detailed. The Engines actually function and rotate, and the Propellers rotate and spin as well. The D Deck Gangway Doors at the Reception Room are openable but they do not contribute in how this Titanic sinks. Other interior rooms such as public areas and spaces, they include little to no furniture to try and help with performance. There are 4 cabins total to be discovered and checked out onboard. A Cabin on A Deck, C Deck, and 2 on E Deck.

–Size–

Originally I believed this to be 1:1 Scale, as it being 883 Blocks Long and 93 Blocks Wide, but as it turns out one Stormworks Block is perhaps around 0.82 feet which means this may not be a full 1:1 Scale but nonetheless from the size of it already it appears that it already is.

–Disclaimers–

A disclaimer, this Titanic spawns with an additional 2.5 degree list to the port side to imitate the coal displacement as a result of the coal fire. Before any controversies or conspiracies could appear, no, the Titanic did not sink because of a coal fire. Even with the coal fire being in the rear starboard coal bunker of Boiler Room 6, it did not cause the sinking, as even if the iceberg didn’t scrape far enough to reach the area where the fire was at, Titanic would have inevitably foundered with Boiler Room 6 breached.

The ship also only functions with Infinite Electricity and those sorts of creative mode options enabled so if you spawn it and the ship appears to break apart, check if you have infinite electric disabled

There may be some bugs present after attempting to spawn the Ship, such as one of the funnels not connecting to the ship correctly causing it to appear lopsided or crooked or out of place. Just respawn the ship if this occurs.

This Titanic recreation will definitely run differently depending on the player’s computer performace. It is recommended to keep the lights off if you want to have the best performance but it is best to experience this during the night with the lights on. It is not guaranteed that every player will be able to run this. My specs consist of the GeForce RTX 2070 Super Graphics Card, in which I don’t have any issues with low framerate besides when you stand in the Grand Staircase with the lights enabled.

–How To Spawn and Sail it—

This Titanic spawns at the Custom Large Oil Rig. To drive the ship, press the throttle on the far right telegraph It takes a bit to get the engines fully started up and running so give it some time until she starts moving forward. The button above will put the ship in reverse. The emergency telegraph to the left of the far right telegraph contains a safety switch with a button to activate the sinking. The Dial located above the Bridge Steering wheel displays Speed. The Dial located above the Steering Wheel in the Wheel House displays the number of how much the Rudder is turned or how much the Ship is turning after turning the Wheel. The Steering Wheel in the Wheel House is the only functional Wheel to turn the Rudder. The compass machine in front of the steering wheel in the Wheel House contains a button to activate the exterior and interior lights. Directly behind the steering wheel in the Wheel House, is a key switch to close the watertight doors, and yes, the watertight door separating Boiler Room 6 and Boiler Room 5 work. Once turning this switch, all watertight doors located in the boiler rooms and Scotland Road will slowly slide shut. Not closing the watertight doors should not effect the sinking drastically so if you wish to explore scotland road during the sinking then you may leave the doors opened.

–Lifeboats–

To push Collapsibles A and B off, look in the lifeboat and disable a button that enables the brakes on the track, which will then make it able to manually push the lifeboat off of the roof. It is heavily recommended to stay seated in any of the flat looking Collapsibles to prevent capsizing any of them. Feel free to stand on any of the normal ones but still use caution while standing in any lifeboat without being seated.

–Sinking–

After hundreds of tests and attempts, I have made the Sinking as accurate as possible according to different testimonies, sources, and help from other Titanic Enthusiasts. As a reference for how the ship sinks up to the breakup, feel free to watch https://youtu.be/PGKpT1oGAnQ?t=300 (5:00 until 2:42:05) The breakup consists of the concept by Roy Mengot where the ship splits in different pieces. I went with this concept and added my own simpler touches to it. The Stern’s final plunge is similar to how the Stern plunges in Tom Lynskey’s "On A Sea of Glass" real time sinking, and a few other animations & sources/ideas provided by others. Throughout the sinking, All funnels are able to collapse once most of the base is submerged as the Bridge floods. As a disclaimer, it is heavily recommended to sink this in decently deep oceans.

As stated before, the ship sinks in 30 minutes or so depending on the performance of the user’s computer, which seems long at the start but when the Bridge begins to flood, time is not on your side.

–Different Pieces Apart of the Ship–

In the mission, the Ship spawns in 2 separate pieces. The Bow and Stern section. In the Bow section itself, there is a separate piece included in it which consists of the front keel piece. On the Stern, there is the Stern, 3rd Funnel Deckhouse, mid-ship, and the 2nd piece of keel.

–If Lost in the Ship–

If lost in the ship, feel free to check the map that lists and shows which rooms are explorable freely. Rooms colored Green are accessible while anything not colored doesn’t exist.
