Description:

The 1890 4-6-0 #1 Steam Locomotive is one of the most realistic locomotives on the workshop.

~HISTORY~

In 1890 the startup company Pendergrass & Son’s was in its infancy. The Owners barely scraped enough money together to build their first freight and passenger locomotive, the "Snipe". The Snipe 4-6-0 was the first locomotive commissioned into service on the Northern Sawyer Railways route, under the Pendergrass & Son’s name. It held the speed record for the company until 1899 when another steam locomotive built by Pendergrass & Son’s beat the record.
1930 it was sold off to the sister company Romantique Line, and was Decommissioned in 1937 due to poor management. In 1960 the locomotive was bought, and restored to its original 1890 self, and was put back into service, running passenger lines and freight lines under Pendergrass & Son’s to today.

~STARTUP PROCESS~

-Press Air Valve.
-Shovel Coal until level is at 10.
-Ignite Firebox.
-wait for Boiler Temp to reach 100.
-wait for pressure to reach 1.
-DO NOT Let pressure reach above 8, as it is too dangerous and is inefficient.
-If Pressure is dropping and the boiler level is at 0, let the water in from the tender by pushing the valve lever forward.
-The regulator bar only functions if it is about 0.34%
-DO NOT LEAVE THE WATER VALVE FROM THE TENDER ON, IT WILL OVER FILL THE BOILER AND IT WILL EXPLODE.
-The left side of the tender has the handbrake on it.
-If you are trying to warn someone please use the whistle and the automatic bell for caution.
-Cylinder C0cks are just for looks, they do not serve a purpose
