The locomotive TEP70 has been built since 1973, it is a household name in Russia and is one of the most popular Russian locomotives. In 2006, a new and improved version entered service – the TEP70BS.
The model released this time is very different from the real diesel locomotive. It is equipped with 3 diesel engines, but the real TEP70 only has one 16V engine.
To start the locomotive, the first step is to start the battery in the middle of the engine cabinet. Turn on the engine start switch. In the cab on one side – usually the side facing the exit of depot hangar – release the parking brake.
Choose the engineering cab to be operated and sit down. Turn the master key to unlock the console. Set the lighting correctly on the right side of console. Set the cabin lighting according to your preferences on the mid of console. Choose the forward direction and release the train brake. Push the throttle lever to move the locomotive.
The assistant seat is equipped with a GPS HUD-map, you can switch it on to view the current position and locomotive running speed. 2 rechargeable storage compartments are equipped under the middle of the console. In the engine cabinet you can find fire extinguishers, first aid kits and other items. At the same time, it was also equipped with thermal clothing for missions in the Arctic (Russia).
