Simple mod add Wooden Screen as Deployable items.
Available for custom battle and campaign.
it only available when you;
– Have general / governor unit in the force.
– As Defender.
>> Old Version:
Wooden screen basically block portion of missile that come directly from the front.
Because there is slight gap between the screen and a hole.
It also may act as Barricade to slow down and stop charge, but not completely create a permanent barrier because enemy will try to squeeze in between the gap, it also have high HP and takes some time to destroy it.
However, Elephant and Chariot charge will just smash and instantly break the screen on the first charge, it does slow down and weaken their charge.

– Increase the number of items, but reduced to amount of screen per item to make it fit on narrow street.
– Tighten the gap between screen and makes it not possible to walk thru the gap, now it should protect from diagonal shot from the front, but the drawback you also can’t shot men directly in front of the screen,
– Widen the dimension to block the missile/projectile, previously some projectile weirdly just fly thru some part of the screen.
– Added burn effect, when its burning; its "un-attackable" to give impression soldier refuse to have contact will wall of fire. it will act as temporary wall and barrier, but the fire will keep damaging the wood over time and eventually faded when its destroyed. [Burn Effect in Screenshot]
– Reduce the invisible interaction box size to prevent solider hiding behind it "poking" the screen, they still poke but should be much more less and allow unit to stand slightly closer to the screen without damaging it.
Simply load it on top of everything, and check custom battle as Defender.
If it work, it should be there.
Compatible for almost everything, and any mod that doesn’t change or completely change deployables
i test with [Ancient Empires Mod] , so there might be slight off-balance if played in vanilla or other overhaul.
Known Issue:
– Big artilery shot barely damage the screen, which is weird knowing Elephant break them instantly.
– Archer still refuse to shot at it with flaming arrow (still trying to figure out).
NOTE:
None of the model or anything is original mine, everything used here are just mix-match between model, logic, animation and meta.
So, you’re free to use, port, add or edit as you wish without need to ask me- but i’d appreciate to be notified or try out your own version if ever.
