Description:

This is an AI mod. It only effects AI behaviour on Very Hard and Legendary difficulties.

At "Very Hard" and "Legendary" difficulties, the AI is programmed to prioritise attacking the player simply because they are the player, as a way of making the game more difficult.

This mod removes that specific behaviour. The AI shouldn’t send its armies to attack the player’s faction where it would not send its armies to attack an AI faction in the same strategic position as the player’s faction.

There are many other ways in which the AI on "very hard" and "legendary" difficulty is different from the AI on lower difficulties, and this mod is specifically designed to not change that.

The purpose of this mod, when there are already other mods that do the same thing, is to avoid conflicts with other mods. In particular, this mod doesn’t conflict with my other AI mod. It may conflict with different mods than the existing mods do, although I hope not, since I think the table I edited to create this mod is seriously obscure.

Specifically, this mod changes 35 entries in the table "cai_personalities_task_management_system_task_generator_profiles".

I almost entirely play on "Hard" difficulty or less, so, if you’re playing on "Very Hard" difficulty or harder and the mod doesn’t seem to be doing anything, please tell me in the comments.
