Populares vs Optimates
This mod replaces the roman families with the two main political factions of Ancient Rome: the “Optimates” and the “Populares”.
Some historians describe the political struggles in the Roman Republic as a conflict between two political "parties": the Optimates and the Populares. The Optimates were conservatives who wanted to secure the power of the senate. On the other hand, the Populares sought popular support against the dominant power of the senate.

The mod is compatible with patch 18 (Power and Politics). It’s is lo longer compatible with the most recent patches and I will not update it because this mod lost much of its relevance after the patch 19 and patch 20 (ancestral update).
