Better Blood Textures for Blood & Gore DLC (Update 21.11.2013)
Hi guys,
Here is a small enhancement for the blood Textures coming with the Blood DLC. I remade blood on bodies and blood on floor as well. Also the blood color is toned down a bit. This is just a small part of my actual "Special Effects Enhancement Mod" http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=193968352
Note: It is necessary to set "Terrain Quality" to extreme to see blood on the floor.
To get this mod to work, it is necessary to enable "outdated mods" in the Mod Manager.
So what do you get with this version?
– better blood textures on bodies and for blood on the ground (obviously)
– toned blood color down a little bit to a darker, more realistic blood color
– blood on the floor stays almost forever
– added ground blood splatter to spear-hits
– ground blood splatter also for slingshot hits
Here is a review video by DogSoldierSPQR showcasing the blood part of the in action.

IMPORTANT NOTE!!!
There is one important thing you need to know! With one of the latest patches, CA has implemented a system for the ModManager to change automatically the mod format. That means that my mod will be converted from movie format to mod format. But particle mods won’t work anymore in mod format. Steam also does not accept the uploading of mods in movie file format. That was all done by release of one of the latest patches. Nice work CA!
So what can you do?
First: You need my mod subscribed and you need the Pack File Manager 3.1.7 (https://sourceforge.net/projects/packfilemanager/files/Release/). Just copy and paste the link into your browser.
Then, open your Windows Explorer and go to your Rome2Data folder. In there, you’ll see my mod "md_mod_xxxx".
Open it with Pack File Manager.
Go to File -> Change Pack Type -> check "Movie"
Save the file.
Due to the automatically converting from movie to mod format by Steam, it is now necessary to set the mod file to read only. To do so, right click on the file, choose properties and check read only. That’s all.
Sorry for the inconvenience, but it’s not my fault. It is due to the protection of editing particles by CA.
Have fun
