Hertz Playable Garrisons

Hertz Playable Garrisons is a mod that lets you march out with any region’s garrison with a simple double click on a button.
This mod grabs your garrison and converts it to a new cost-reduced army for 2 turns.
(This mod is save-game compatible)


When you take your garrison out you will have full control over the army.
The garrison inside the settlement will be empty except for 1 unit. The rest of the units will get added to a new army which sits just outside the settlement.
You can whatever you want with the garrison force except for exchanging units and leaving the region.
Garrisons that are outside of their settlements will return to their settlement if the garrison army has moved back inside their settlement, or after 2 turns.
You can recruit new units into the garrison army, but these units will be lost if the garrison army returns to the settlement.
After the garrison has returned from outside the settlement, there will be a 4 turn cooldown before you can take your garrison outside again while your garrison replenishes.
You can not exchange units between garrison armies and normal armies
The garrison force can not leave the region the Garrison has come from.

It’s very simple You have to do the following to get your garrison force out.
- Select the settlement you wish to sally out with its garrison
- Double click the settlement zoom button
Thats it. Double click the settlement zoom button in the settlement panel (above your building slots) and the garrison should appear outside your settlement.

Yes this mod works with any custom faction or overhaul as it reads and takes all units from the current garrison and puts them in an army. No sub-mods are required

No the AI does not sally out with its garrisons. This would open up a whole bunch of technical issues and bugs to make sure the AI does what it needs to do. I will not be adding AI support for this mod for the foreseeable future.
