Description:

In the period 1444-1821, there were worldwide many outbreaks of the plague. This includes, for example, the Italian plague outbreak of 1629 that possibly claimed one million lives, or the 1772 Persian plague. The plague usually started in cities with high population densities and active trading, and amidst war and troop movements. A strict quarantine could usually prevent spreading, but within the affected area many would die.

This mod introduces regular outbreaks of the plague that will spread rapidly and deadly, unless drastic measures are taken. This mod includes:
– New plague epidemics starting in high-density cities;
– Spread can be slowed using the ‘Quarantine’ edict (so preventing spread in territories is not possible);
– An after-plague economic boom;
– Weekly updates on the spread of the epidemic, including an estimate number of deaths.
