Welcome to the new version of Empire of Man! This mod is a complete rewrite of the original Empire of Man with a new custom UI, new mechanics, and overhaul improvements. It seeks to use heavy Lua scripting to implement a fully supported campaign mechanic for the Empire and bring new life to their otherwise vanilla campaign.

Please note: You are not meant to play as Volkmar Pick Franz or Gelt!

Features of this Mod

This mod adds factional loyalty to the game. Each Elector count has a measure of their loyalty which impacts their willingness to negotiate, as well as their tribute to the Emperor. If you earn the full loyalty of a faction, you will earn confederation with them. If their loyalty drops to zero, you risk open rebellion and even civil war!

Defender of the Empire
Many have said that the Empire is less of a country and more of an alliance of tribes. For many Electors, the sole purpose of the Emperor is to fight their battles for them, and an Emperor who cannot defend his people is an unncessary one. Prove your worth by fighting the enemies of each Elector State to raise their loyalty, but be careful; if you find yourself overextended and losing too many battles against the enemies of the Empire, the Electors will quickly lose patience.

Politician and Diplomat
The Imperial Court is a strange place, and while the Elector Counts technically serve the Emperor, keeping them in line is a difficult task. This mod contains over fifty unique dilemmas, incidents, and missions that all have impacts on the wider political system.

A Nation of Many Gods
Politics in the Empire has never been secular, and violence even less so. The Religious Cults of Sigmar and Ulric play large roles in the political system, and earning their scorn can be dangerous for the Emperor.

Internal Strife
The Empire during the Reign of Karl Franz is very unstable. Border wars between Elector Counts are commonplace, and if your loyalty with an Elector Count drops to zero, there will be consequences for the Empire. Whether that be secession, Civil War, or religious rebellion, Crisis in the Empire must be avoided at all costs and handled carefully.

A Bastion of Light
All is not lost, however. If Karl Franz can -through statesmenship, intrigue, or all out war- manage to unite the Elector Counts, then the Empire might stand against the invasions of Chaos and prosper in a new Golden Age of Man. Earning Full Loyalty with any Elector opens up the options of confederation and vassalisation with that Elector. Unite the Empire by winning over each of its provinces.

Compatibility

Empire of man is compatible with a surprising number of mods given its scale. This includes being usable alongside SFO

However, Empire of Man Contains Start Pos Changes and is not compatible with Crynsos Faction Unlocker .

WHEN I SAY THIS EDITS STARTPOS, THAT INCLUDES STANDALONE LANDMARK MODS. THIS MOD DOES NOT WORK WITH THOSE MODS
