Some rugged recipes to help with long term survival.
Find the "Prison Hooch and You! The Homemade Booze Guide" magazine, or start with the "Shiner" trait and get brewing!
Current Booze:
- Hooch (Prison Wine): Combine fruit, water, yeast, "sugary additive", and a cooking pot. Cook the pot, and let it sit for 8 days. Strain it into empty booze bottles.
- Berry Wine: Combine berries and yeast and let it sit! Drain into empty wine bottles after about 3 weeks. Berry Wine greatly increases happiness and decreases stress.
- Kvass: Combine some fruit, bread and sugar in a jar, and filter into water bottles. Its like beer. Classic Russian beverage! Takes about 5 days to ferment.
Find the "Jerkin It! The Dried Meat Guide" magazine, or start with the "Complete Jerk" trait and get smoking!
Current Preserved Meats:
Find the "In a Pickle! The Fermented Food Guide" magazine, or start with the "Fermento" trait and get fermenting!
Current Foods:
Find the "Raisin the roof! The Dehydrated Food Guide" magazine, or start with the "Dry Humor" trait and get drying! Dried fruits have the same stats as normal fruit, but half the weight and last for months. Downside is they make you a little thirsty.
Current Foods:
- Grow Cucumbers!
- Storing food in jars no longer takes vinegar and sugar. That’s for PICKLES. Not canning.
- Open a jar, get a lid. Lids no longer vanish into the great beyond.
- New recipe, no training required. Check cooking tab for "Prepare Potato for baking".
- Pemmican
- Hardtack
- Alternate yeast recipe
- Wild meat preservation
- Better fish support
- Fruit Teas!
- Pickled Eggs
- Hotsauce!
