Description:

This mod replaces all races’ ships with one drawing heavy influence (and assets) from the intro mission at the Protectorate Academy! The layout has been modified, but each tier is balanced with the corresponding tiers of the vanilla ships. This is meant for people like myself who think that the Protector’s ship should more firmly represent the institution that they were trained in! Note, this mod has been somewhat abandoned by me. I had a period of time where I was in an obsessive episode with Starbound, and now my focus has kind of drifted elsewhere. What you see in unfortunately what you get. Sorry!

HEAVY DISCLAIMER: This will effect ALL of the ships on the game it is installed on. So, if your ship is fully upgraded and you open that game with this mod subscribed to, this is going to look really weird. HOWEVER, it won’t break anything unless you upgrade the ship with the mod installed. So, if you run into that problem, just install and call yourself good. If you want to keep a ship working, then I suggest you make sure that the current upgrade of YOUR ship matches the upgrade of THIS ship.

Using this Mod with an Existing Character’s Fully Upgraded Ship
First of all, this is gonna be a process. In order to do this, you’re going to need to move all of your items and blocks to a planet below, beam down, install the mod, delete your ship file, and then beam up. I’ve never actually done this, but there are people who have. Google can help!

Using Only a Few Races
If you only want this to work for your Glitch and don’t want it to mess up your Floran’s ship, what you’re going to need to do is subscribe to the mod, then unpack the .pak file, and delete everything except the content you want. Starbound’s modding is very forgiving, and there are some great resources on the starbound community forum for unpacking files! Once that’s done, you’ll have to go looking through all the folders, finding files named something like "florancaptainschair.png" and deleting them.
