Description:

Here is it, my replica of Inland Lakes Management’s S.S. Alpena!

History:

SS Alpena was originally the SS Leon Fraser built in 1942 by the Great Lakes Engineering works in Michigan. She sailed for the Pittsburgh Steamship Company as part of the 5 195 meter long "Super Carrier" class with a capacity of 18,600 tons of iron ore. The had the largest capacity of any ship on the lakes of the time.
In october of 1989 she was sold to Fraiser Shipyards and shortened, this was to convert her to a cement carrier. She had her hatches welded shut and cement scuttles installed on top. She was then sold to Inland Lakes Management as the largest cement carrier of their fleet. By 2015 she was the oldest active steamship on the great lakes, she still sails to this day on her DeLaval Steam Turbine and 2 Babock and Wilcox water-tube boilers.

The Stormworks Creation:

She is fairly detailed but also very simple. She has all the equipment you’ll need and a speed of 22 knots. She can load up on oil or diesel as a tanker because their isn’t cement in Stormworks. She has a range of VERY far.

(it takes a LONG time to load up on cargo, probably 30-40 minutes.. I am going to fix it very soon by testing different methods. If you have any suggestions I would appreciate it greatly.) (to be fair the real one takes hours to load)

MASSIVE Thanks to Ironchad for building the beast of an engine she runs on
Credit to https://steamcommunity.com/id/coaster3000/myworkshopfiles/?appid=573090 for making the blinker I used for the fog horn!!!
Fixes and changes:
removed railing above ladder on the pilothouse
instructions added to clutch lever
scuttle instructions added inside the pilothouse
made all start up buttons automatically on
fixed refueling (silly me overwrote the save with the refueling)
