Divided Colonies
Up-to-date with 1.21
Not ironman compatible. Not compatible with mods that change colonial regions; expect bugs with mods that add or move provinces around.
– More, smaller colonial regions throughout the Americas, based off historic territories.
– New colonial regions in South Africa and the Philippines
– Colonial nations now form instantaneously after a colony is completed
– Tweaked trade winds to be more realistic and also promote colonizing the Americas (particularly Brazil) over Africa/Australia and make it harder for Europeans to round the Cape.
– Events that keep colony’s borders within their regions
– Simulation of large-scale colonial revolts among many regional colonies that can ally against their overlord
– Overhauled decisions to form colonial nations like the USA, UPCA, or Brazil
– Decisions to merge certain colonial territories together such as the Guyanas, and Maine- More unique names for colonies based on colonizer (always adding more)- Colonial nations now only have to own 8 provinces to give a merchant (was 10)- Overseas culture conversion made more expenstive (still adjusting numbers)- Historical colonial government names- Colonial provinces may be different cultures/religions depending on the makeup of the home country- Native American groups may respawn in province bordering their former landsFor an even more enhanced colonial experience, check out my Rosetta mod with dynamic province/city renaming!

– French countries can merge Upper Canada into Lower Canada (Québec).- British countries can merge Maine into Massachusetts.- Any non-British country can give the Falklands/Malvinas to La Plata.- Any country can add the Galápagos to Quito To avoid wasting limited colonial tags, most of these decisions require that every province in the area be owned by someone, or (for the Guyana) that a merger would not result in the annexation of an entire colony. This feature is in ongoing development.
