DLC UPDATE
-Added rocket pods, ATGM’s and a turret with an autocannon! Extra ammo is stored to the left, behind the wing pylons.
-Added mouse aim for the gunner seat! Flip the mouse aim button in the cockpit to switch to mouse aim

UPDATE: I updated the PID’s to only be enabled when the IGNITION is enabled, this should fix the issue of the throttle overreacting when the helicopter has had its engines off for a while. Its therefore recommended to also turn off the ignition when you want to turn off the helicopter.

UPDATE: Updated the helicopter. To switch controls, find the 2×4 SEAT SWITCH COMPOSITE microcontroller at the BOTTOM REAR of the helicopter, underneath the big cluster of microcontrollers. If you click on it, you will find the property toggles to set the controls to WASD or ARROW buttons.

History

The Mil Mi-28 (NATO reporting name "Havoc") is a Russian all-weather, day-night, military tandem, two-seat anti-armor attack helicopter. It is an attack helicopter with no intended secondary transport capability, better optimized than the Mil Mi-24 gunship for the role. It carries a single gun in an undernose barbette, plus external loads carried on pylons beneath stub wings.

Features

  • Gunner seat with dual Controls, switch which seat is in control with the press of a button!
  • Radar
  • Map with waypoints
  • Laser Designator
  • Rocket pods
  • Movable machine gun turret (Wait for the weapons DLC!)
  • Laser guided AGM’s!
  • Altitude hold

Startup

  1. Turn on your battery and instruments (overhead)
  2. Turn on your fuel pumps
  3. Turn on your ignition and press both engine start buttons (overhead)
  4. Turn on your autohover for smoother taxiing
  5. Wait for the RPS to spool up to about 20 RPS and release your parking brake (between your legs)
  6. Taxi out the hangar and take off!

Flying works best with either the autohover on, or the altitude hold engaged with the autohover off
