Procedural Katanas (Alpha)
By far the largest mod I’ve done, this adds procedurally generated katanas to the standard melee weapon loot pools!
They have a custom-made combo made courtesy of Ribs, and can have several broadsword special attacks, including it’s own unique variants of Trail Dash and Parry.
The katana version of Trail Dash is less damaging and goes a shorter distance, but is usable in the air and costs less energy.
Parry has a hitbox that directly covers your own, so it is effective from all angles, but is only active for as long as a shield’s perfect guard (0.2 seconds). Upon landing a successful parry, you’re also given 2 seconds of the rage buff, to simulate a counter attack.
Procedural katanas are also tagged as katanas for the RPG Growth mod, if you play a ninja with that.
I plan on adding more abilities later, as well as revamping the parry into Decisive Strike, a legitimate counter attack. I also want to add new blade and handle parts, but there’s only so much you can do with a 3 pixel thick blade.
