About Hooveric Vanilla+

○ This mod aims to make the combat more deep and to implement lore-friendly vibe while keeping the vanilla game design. (No new units, buildings or events.)

○ Modifies unit stats and adds some new abilities.

○ Makes some tech effects more unique.

Setting

○ This mod modifies various elements from vanilla. unit, building, research, etc. But it is almost similar to vanilla, it will not be incompatible with other mods in most cases.

○ If you are wondering if this mod is compatible with a particular mod, read the details below and check whether the mod modifies the same element. of course, it won’t be compatible with a big overhaul mod.

○ I think the mods related to Graphic, AI, Diplomacy, and Events will be compatible without problems.

General Changes

○ Unit Balancing

Overall unit balancing, especially tweaked the upgraded version units a bit so they are more of a trade off.

For example : – Dark Riders have higher melee attack than Dark Riders (Shields) – Ogre Bulls have higher melee defence and lower charge bonus than Ogre Bulls (Dual Weapons)

○ Collision Mechanic

The collision calculation equation has been tweaked. Increased collision damage and chance of cavalry breaking through the opponent’s ranks. It makes the normal cavalry (that have no anti-large or armour-piercing) more valuable.

The cavalry can pierce the opponent’s front ranks when they charge, But this happens only when the attacker’s mass must be much higher than the defender’s mass and the defender have no charge-defence.

Also this means there is a risk that the cavalry will be surrounded in the middle of the enemies because the fallen infantry will get up soon.

○ Armour-Piercing

Increased the armour-piercing ratio for most heavy cavalry that have no anti-large or armour-piercing. Decreased the armour-piercing ratio for most halberd infantry with shields.

○ Anti-Large

Redifined anti-large, now there are two types of anti-large.

Anti-Large : Very Effective Anti-Large : Slightly Effective

The first type has the same effect as vanilla, it’s for the traditional anti-large units. And the second type is for the most great weapon infantry or some special units. In this mod, these units have a little Bonus vs Large so there is a potential to deal effective hits to large units unlike vanilla.

○ New Attributes

Disciplined
This unit does not suffer a leadership penalty when the Lord dies. It can also rally after routing more often.

Strong Vigour
This unit’s vigour is less affected by fatiguing actions, such as combat.

○ Tech

Some tech has been changed to give more dynamic effects.

For example : – Arabyan Fire : Enables explosion projectiles for Little Grom units
