Description:

The slide show images are old. The newer version has a smoother exterior.

This is the SHIELD Airborne Command Center, aka The Bus, or CXD-23 A-201 Globemaster. This modified cargo jet has been retrofitted with special engines that allow it to take off vertically. The jet includes a rear cargo area, 6 crew quarters, bathroom, galley, laboratory and extra storage.

This creation is modeled after the VTOL Plane in the TV series, "Marvel’s Agents of Shield"

MANUAL:

Take-Off Instructions:
1. Start engines by turning on all key buttons above your head. They will be labeled Compressors. Continue to Step 2

2.Move throttle lever located on the left side center of the cockpit all the way up. If you wish to take off vertically, continue to step 8. If you wish to take off using the classic plane method, continue to step 3.

3.Move the Thrust Spoiler Throttle located on the right side center of the cockpit all the up. Continue to step 4.

4.Locate the breaker switch located on the top right hand side of the cockpit and flip it on. Continue to step 5.

5. At this point you should hear the jet turbines start to fire up. After you hear a loud pop followed by a steady increase in pitch, you can turn the compressor key buttons from step 1 off, as they are no longer needed. Continue to step 6.

6. After a small amount of time you will start to move forward, you can use the left and right arrow keys to turn your landing gear thus positioning the plane on the runway. Continue to step 7.

7. After reaching the desired orientation and positioning, you can now move the Thrust Spoiler throttle lever in from step 3 down to increase in speed. After doing this, pull up to the desired altitude and continue to step 12.

8. Locate the button labeled front/back rotation lock at the top center of the cockpit and toggle it to the "on" position. After doing so, move the front rotation throttle lever all the way to the upright position. This will make all jet engines vertical. Continue to step 9

9. Locate the button labeled VTOL Controls near the top center of the cockpit and toggle it on. This is needed for stable vertical take-off Continue to step 10.

10. Do Steps 4 and 5, then continue to step 11 (Don’t continue to step 6)

11. A little after doing so, you should have sufficient thrust to use the up and down arrow keys to move across the vertical axis (NOTE: doing so for extended periods of time may cause the plane to become unsteady and may result in oscillation) Continue to step 12.

12. At this point you should be at a high enough altitude to locate the landing gear throttle lever located and the top center front of the cockpit and bring your landing gear all the way into the up position.

For further direction, refer to the in-air control manual.

In-Air Control Manual:
————————————————————————————————————————–
VTOL:

You can use the up and down arrow key to control altitude and use wasd for pitch and roll. The left and right arrow keys are used for yaw. Changing the jet engine pitch can be utilized to move forward at a quicker rate.
————————————————————————————————————————–
Non-VTOL:

You can use wasd to control pitch and roll and the left and right arrow keys for yaw.
In this mode, the up and down arrow keys do absolutely nothing. To increase or decrease speed to your liking, you can increase and decrease the thrust spoiler throttle lever value.
—————————————————————————————————————————
Control Method Switching:

To switch out of VTOL mode, you must quickly move the jet orientation to the horizontal position and deactivate the VTOL controls. The opposite of this can be used to transfer into VTOL mode.
