Tektite Underwater Habitat
This is a semi-accurate recreation of the underwater habitat and laboratory Tektite. Funded by NASA and constructed by General Electric, Tektite operated in 15m of water in Great Lameshur Bay, Saint John, in 1969 and 1970. Tektite was scrapped in 1991.
This is not 100% accurate, mainly because of how difficult it is to find sources, but also because of the limitations of Stormworks.
To operate, lower the buoy’s umbilical to the sea floor, pull open the hatch on Tektite’s deck, attach the umbilical and turn on the breaker. This will give you (almost) uninterrupted power. It is recommended not to turn on many devices at night, due to the buoy being solar powered.
Tektite contains three diving suits while the buoy contains a fourth, for diving to the habitat.
The leg controls at the bridge can be used to level the habitat out.
DO NOT use the harness inside the wet room while sitting in it, bad things will happen like clipping through the ceiling into an open space from which you cannot escape. It is only for decoration!
