Traction Freightjet CT55E8
behold the rail-mounted ear destroyer
the CT55E8 is an experimental high-output turbine-electric locomotive originally built in the late ’60s and used for cargo transport, also doubling as a really noisy portable powerplant
prerequisites: common sense and a few braincells
– ensure necessary breakers are on (they are on by default)
– press the button marked "Start"
– if you cannot figure out how to turn this thing on then you probably shouldn’t be operating a locomotive
– if you let off the throttle but the locomotive keeps increasing in speed throw the reverser into neutral and back to where it was set to reset the motor throttle pid
– most if not all controls are labeled, please read the labels
– you can use the deployable mag-alls to anchor the locomotive to the ground during high winds, however the reverser must be in neutral
– composite channels for values such as throttle and brake can be changed using the panel towards the back of the cabin, in case you’re using any rolling stock that support that
top speed unladen: 220kmh probably
prime mover: 1x really over-the-top exhaustless jet engine (2×16 medium turbines)
power output: 5500 swatts / 12000 swatts (high engine speed mode)
motor setup: 2×14 small electric motors
fuel capacity: 28 kiloliters
fuel consumption: i do not know and i do not care
"this thing is really loud therefore it sucks i hate jet trains!!!!!"
ok
"can you upload the auxiliary fuel tank that this supposedly works with?"
i never got around to making it, sorry
"use src"
i do not have the competence and willpower required to convert this to use their funny control system (please use the composite configuration panel in case compatibility issues arise)
"can you make x"
no
thank you to Bit for telling me how to eradicate wheelslip
do not reupload
do give proper attribution for edits / custom liveries / etc
