Description:

Doubles the current research speed, effectively halving the time taken to research any technology. The turns taken are rounded up so if something used to take 15 turns to research, it will now take 8.

This should apply to save games with no problems.

This won’t conflict with any other mod unless they adjust research speed.

Disclaimer:
This mod was made for personal use, but I’ll try and update as often as I can. Unless CA change research times in a patch, this should still work even if its out of date.

Useful notes for anyone hoping to play around with modding the same values:
The table edited for this was "technology_nodes".
The column edited was "research_points_required".
Click and drag down the entire column to select them all, then right click on one. Type 0.5 then hit the X button. This will multiply every entry in the column by 0.5, effectively halving them all. You can increase or decrease the values this way depending on the number you multiply by.

If you are using the PackFileManager, right click the selected entries and "Apply Expression to Selected Cells". Then type x/2
