Change log 6/10

After the battle entities changes and animation becoming smoother, these guys are just way too op. I took out poison and replaced it with frostbit and nerfed their melee defense a little and gave them extra charge bonus. They’re still incredibly strong, but not oppressively so. When I tested them vs shaggoths recently, they sometimes left with 4k hp intact while the shaggoth routed. That is unacceptable. I’m much happier with where they are now See last image for full changes

Nighthaunt

Mass – 800 to 2700
(was using original war lion mass. Now correctly reflects mass of a proper monster. For context, shaggoth is 5500)
Run speed – 82 to 73
Charge bonus – 20 to 30
Better reaction overall in combat

Peakprides

Mass – 800 to 1400
Run speed – 82 to 63
Armor – 60 to 75

BIG FRIKKIN LIONS. This mod makes 2 variants of war lions and fill in unit types that are missing in the High Elves’ roster: Monstrous Infatry and a big land monster. For the past few days, I’ve tested this mod to be as balanced as possible without breaking the game.

Lore background: Basically chaos infused lions that were captured by Morathi as she’s always invading Ulthuan in my playthroughs after the patch. She tortured and experimented on the poor cats. After you screw your own son, there’s basically nothing she won’t do. They grew too big and powerful so they escaped. Some stayed with Alith Anar, some swam home to Ulthuan, but they’re coming back for that Druchii ass.

Peak Pride (Tier 3 – 16 unit monstrous anti infantry unit): Balanced around the Ushabti unit, but with less armor and more speed and slightly more expensive (at least in custom). They’re even against the Ushabti in a really close 1 on 1. Their main role is to flank the front line and stay there. There are 2 reasons for this.

1) They have a rather low charge bonus for their speed (20 charge bonus, 82 speed).

2) They have "The Hunger" ability and regens while in melee combat.

They are surprisingly tanky in addition to being a really fast, but suffer from being weak to fire (-25%)

See pics for result in fight vs Ushabti.

Cost: 1000g, 250 upkeep

Night Haunt (Tier 5 – 3 LARGE Monstrous Anti Large unit): These guys are huge, as big as Dragon Ogre Shaggoths. And they will kill absolutely anything on the ground minus dread saurians and the new mistwalker flying cavalry, although fire attacks hit them hard. Not quite king of the jungle, but pretty damn close. Primary role is to snipe big important targets or slow them down/weaken them. They also have the hunger ability (weakness to fire) and they come with poison attacks as well. However, they don’t come with missile resistance that many large monsters have. They compensate for this with fast speed (82 again). See pics for result in fight vs Shaggoth.

Cost: 2000g, 500 upkeep

Hope you enjoy them!
