Description:

MAZ-103 is a Belarusian semi-low-floor (step at the back door) large-capacity city bus, produced by the Minsk Automobile Plant since 1996. It was the base for a family of several models of various layouts and purposes.

In 1992, the Minsk Automobile Plant signed a license agreement with Neoplan. As a result, the MAZ-101 model appeared, but its price and low reliability when operating on poor quality roads made it uncompetitive in the CIS market. As a result, only five licensed buses were built in "pure form". At the plant, it was decided to introduce domestic components, while adapting the design to local conditions. As a result, the MAZ-103 bus was developed, on which a rear axle of its own design was used instead of the portal axle installed on the MAZ-101. This led to the appearance of a step in the back door (there are no steps in the other two doors), but it had a positive effect on the price, reliability and maintainability of the bus.

In January 2021, in connection with the launch of the third generation bus MAZ-303, an order was signed to remove the MAZ-103 from production. But with the increase in demand, production continues.

It is operated in several dozen cities of Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Romania, Serbia, Hungary, Poland.

1.Unique paint scheme that used in Minsk, Belarus by Minsktrans
2.Original door system
There are 2 modes of opening doors: manual and driver controled
3.Detailed exterior and enterior
4.Heaters in the bus.
