Magpie’s Mabon Augments
A pack of seasonal augments to celebrate Mabon! This pack includes harvest symbols like autumn produce, saved seeds, and basketry.
Augments included:
-1 necklace (apple)
-1 brooch (horn with a small tassel)
-1 strap (embroidered gourd vine)
-2 talismans (jeweled pomegranate, bottle of beans)
-1 kneepad and 1 pauldron set (based on traditional willow baskets)
-1 ring (red rose)
Some elements have their own colors; others draw on your chosen primary and secondary.
The pack also includes two messy hairstyles with a marigold flower-crown accessory, one long and one short, along with non-accessorized versions. Both styles fit both skull shapes, but the long will random-generate on female NPCs and the short on male ones.
Mabon is a name for the autumn equinox, when the day and night are exactly the same length. It’s a traditional time to celebrate the end of the harvest season and finish up one’s projects before winter sets in. (Of course, where I live, I’m still waiting for the beans to flower, but hey.) Interestingly, the equinox is also what triggers the onset of fall color in a lot of deciduous tree species; they start pulling in their chlorophyll once the nights get longer than the days.
If you live in the Southern Hemisphere, the days will actually start getting longer at this point. I hope to have a similar pack for you ready in exactly six months.
