SNCB HLE 13|CFL HLE 3000
HLE 13/3000 locomotive pack
These multi-voltage locomotives have been ordered, through a call for tenders at European level, to enable the Ostend-Eupen relationship to benefit from the advantages of the LGV L2 high-speed line, with I11 coaches capable of 200km/h and to be able to take advantage of the 25kV electrification of the Athus-Meuse and Rivage-Gouvy lines.
Ordered from the GEC Alstom group, 60 units for the SNCB and 20 units for the CFL, the 13 series, 3000 in Luxembourg, is derived from the BB 36000 of the SNCF.
Put into service from 1998, both for freight, in single or multiple units, and for passenger service with reversible trains.
