Items Overhaul – All Followers
This is an overhaul to all of the existing followers in the game, both those randomly dropped and the special ones – in order to get them in line with each other and make the less useful ones more useful while reducing the effects of the overpowered ones. Uses the same system as my other Trait Overhaul mods. Works great together with those mods (links at the bottom).
- All randomly dropped followers have a limit of 2 follower effects (a weird exception is the Mammoth Trader for Norsca).
- All non-randomly dropped followers have a limit of 3 follower effects.
- All altered follower effects are kept in line with the philosophy of the follower as much as possible.
- All existing follower effects must be kept but can be adjusted, i.e. from a character buff to an army buff.
- All of the effect values use pre-determined numbers from the Baseline values in my sheet, for followers they are halved compared to the Traits values.
All of the data is kept in a spreadsheet so that I may stay sane during editing or referencing.
Non-random followers include:
- Legendary Lord followers
- Tomb King Herald followers
- Vampire Coast tech tree followers
- Beastmaster ritual follower
- Malus special followers, some of these were very powerful and will appear nerfed
- Lizardmen ritual followers
- Other strange followers, like the Cucumber for Skaven
As for compatibility I recommend using Kadrin’s Mod Manager instead of the CA launcher to see if there are any conflicts. I don’t use big overhauls so unfortunately I can’t tell you if this is compatible with X or Y. I know that it does conflict with the mod "Replenishment Followers for the Old World".
