Description:

OVERVIEW


Sassanid
Unique Ability: Stewards of the Silk Road
Resources adjacent to a Commercial Hub, Encampment, or Harbor yield +1 Culture and +1 Gold. Traders each generate one Great Merchant point per turn when in foreign or unclaimed territory.

Unique Unit: Aswar (Replaces Nothing)
Composite cavalry unit with a ranged attack. Starts with a promotion, and has increased defense against ranged attacks.

Unique District: Wiškar (Replaces Nothing)
Grants Amenities based on the Appeal of its tile. Units entering the Wiškar or an adjacent tile receive the Hunt-Honed ability, which grants bonus Combat Strength based on tile appeal (changes based on unit’s current tile). Unlocks the Royal Hunt project, which provides Combat Experience to units, Culture equal to 15% of the Production invested, and Great Person points for Great Generals and Great Musicians upon completion.

Kawad I
Unique Ability: The Mazdakite Subterfuge
May train a Spy after founding a religion, and Spies operate as if one level more experienced. Commercial Hubs and Harbors yield +1 Faith, increased to +3 Faith if in a city following your religion.

Unique Building: Amargarestan (Replaces the Market)
Specialty Districts built in a city with an Amargarestan gain Gold based on tile appeal (+2 for Charming, +4 for Breathtaking).

NOTES


In order for this mod to require no DLC, the leader music is set to Arabia. If you have the Persia DLC and would like Persia music:

  • Navigate to Steamsteamappsworkshopcontent2890701220843351ArtDefs
  • Open Leaders.artdef with a text editor.
  • Change <m_Value text="Arabia"/> to <m_Value text="Persia"/>.
  • Save and close.

BUG REPORTS


This mod has been bug-tested but if you do experience any serious bugs, please provide detailed information in the pinned conversation below. Not having this information makes it harder (if not sometimes impossible) for us to figure out the cause of your issue.

IMPORTANT: This is NOT compatible with Mac, at least until you guys get the latest update from Firaxis/Aspyr. The issue is caused by the fact that we’re referencing a game_effect that was introduced in the Fall patch and therefore doesn’t exist yet on Mac.

If you are experiencing StartGame/Back-to-Menu bugs with this mod enabled, please follow the directions listed here[www.dropbox.com] to fix the bug.
