Description:

I myself like to play Extended Timeline from an early start date prior to the barbarian invasions. The problem is always that Europe ends up dominated by just a few nations, the HRE never forms and the game become boring. To fix this I’ve added some changes.

Barbarian Reform is available to select and AI will select it, now more tribes should be eligible to invade Rome and reform into Salic Kingdoms.

Salic Law is selectable meaning that not all nations released will be Feudal or Autocratic, the AI will tend to choose this reform if they are in Europe.

Salic Law is harder to get rid of (not until 44 admin tech) making it more common for a lot more kingdoms to keep emerging in Europe.

The extra son event is more common (but much less common if infertile).

Added an extra option for forming the HRE, making it more likely to happen.

Christianity will spread faster and the schism can happen earlier.

Government capacity, starting with the migration age, will be reduced to reflect the decentralization that happened during this time period.

Large/Huge Empire modifiers last further into the techs.

Misc: Roads and Highways give a couple extra building slots.

Made it so you can only choose 1 of the early ruler policies per category. They won’t be available after admin tech 50. Also, they cost more mana but won’t reduce your ruler’s monthly mana.

Compatibility:

Requires Extended Timeline to work.
MOSTLY compatible with Extended Flavor. Load this mod after it.
