testroom2 Extended
Description:
My first hammer map. An edit of testroom_standards / testroom2. I added a bunch of somewhat cool things. One of the main features and why I wanted to do it is more open space. Working with Hammer made me that I needed something to add lua into my map and lua_run just didn’t cut it. This is where the LUAmmer comes in.

Some Of The Features:
- A test room for testing footstep sound replacements, all of the possible footsteps should be present, added via custom textures,
- Two scripted NPCs, Vortigaunt and Gasmask Citizen (Sweepy & Gus). They walk around the map and do different things. You can also talk to them,
- A yard with a warehouse, a big vent fan, some scaffolding, an elevator, some beta brush vehicles, and a working emplacement gun,
- A flat area (flat grass) with a giant pool of water and a bunker,
- Rainy weather,
- The map is fully AI-Noded. Nodes for normal NPCs as well as for striders and flying ones,
- A concept art museum with concept arts, beta posers, and the Half-Life 2 logo copied straight from the beta. You may go near the paintings to hear some sounds that should put you in the mood 🙂,
- Working, destructible beta soda machines with drinkable sodas,
- Universal ammo crates,
- Citadel chargers,
- Wall chargers test area,
- White room with togglable and colorable lights and walls,
- Beta radio that plays looped radio music (Franzl Lang – Der Böller-Schütz von Mittenwald) whose volume is controlled via the game’s menu Music slider,
- Custom soundscapes around the map,
- A room with togglable Global States,
- More is planned…,
