Artillery Barrage RELOADED
Welcome! This is a sequel to my first Teardown Mod "Artillery Barrage" — now rebuilt from the ground up.

Low FX mode and optimization patches will be coming soon.
(Especially when using more than 5 howitzers at High Intensity) → Consider lowering intensity to Medium so all shells don’t fall at the same time.

- Added Top-down view switch in the strike area selection view.

- Increased the WASD move radius from 10 to 50 meters in the area selection / drone views.

This mod is still WIP, but I released it anyway — otherwise I’d probably never finish it (hobby project).
It will be slowly updated with new features and fixes.
- Custom explosions & damage effects
- Shrapnel damage system (world objects & player)
- Per-material damage properties (distance, material type, etc.)
- New sound system (realistic sounds, shell whistles, far howitzer booms & echo by distance)
- New drone UI with adjustable target area size
- Rewritten howitzer logic — each howitzer is its own entity
- Flexible fire patterns (1 howitzer firing 20 shells slowly, or 10 howitzers firing 1 shell each in a salvo)
- Customizable reload times & fire intensity (intense barrages, slow suppression fire, etc.)
- Drone view to spectate artillery & see each howitzer’s status
- Option to disable player damage in settings
- Point the crosshair where you want to call the strike
- LMB → enter area selection
- Mouse Wheel → change radius (selection view) / zoom (drone view)
- W A S D → move camera (selection & drone view)
- After calling strike: LMB to enter drone view (howitzers/shells info, cancel strike, look around)
- Middle Mouse → cancel strike
NOT OPTIMIZED WITH TABS. The whole damage system is custom-written. It’s similar to TABS in a few ways but not as complex. This is an experiment/passion project, so TABS vehicles and armor will take damage differently with this. Maybe in the future I’ll introduce TABS armor integration etc.
- Vehicles take shrapnel damage strangely now, I’ll look into it more.
- A puff of smoke always spawns at map center on load (one-time quirk)
- Very bad performance when too many shells land together — if using 5–10 howitzers, switch to Medium intensity to avoid lag spikes
- the sparks from the explosion often behave strangely, emitting upwards rather than normally
- Further optimization & performance work
- New shell types (cluster, mortar, smoke)
- Low FX mode for weaker PCs
- Directional barrages (adjustable azimuth & pitch)
- Enemy artillery fire tracking the player via drones
