Rename Vassals
Feature
Right-click on a Vassal , Fiefdom or Dominion to rename it. Currently, only these three types are available.
Principle
Pretend to be a Colonial Nation : Since the game seems to have compiled the part related to renaming colonial countries (at least I couldn’t find it), I can only put a mask of is_colonial_subject = yes on vassals and fiefs to deceive the game into thinking they are colonial nations and change their names for me. Therefore, many problems will/should occur.
Existing Problems
- Some actions chaos : The actions "Cancel Vassal Status", "Suggest Vassal" and "Change Fiefdom to Vassal" are merged into one action. When target country is a vassal, it is "Cancel Vassalage", and when it is a fief, it is "Change to Vassal". The same applies to "Cancel Fief" and "Convert Vassalage to Fief". Same with Dominion.
In summary, actions with red X and green √ indicating AI intentions are "Change", and those without are "Cancel" . - Missing Translation : Need to be retranslated. I only did the localization for English and Simplified Chinese . I don’t know why the "mask" caused the modification of key values, resulting in the merging of key names. That’s why I merged the two diplomatic actions. It was a last resort.
- Colonial behavior and events that may occur in your subjects : Caused by the act of colonial nation. Including but not limited to possible colonial revolutions in vassal states, specific colonial events, subjects can form its new culture , etc.
