Also, it’s ldeal not to stay very close to an NPC. If it gets panicked? It will push you out of the way if it decides to run. And unless you know how to pull the multiplayer code of ‘player not clipping into another player’ into single player? Then it’s impossible to ‘fix’
Lastly – BACKUP YOUR SAVE. Not for your own cases, but there are times NPCs will just do stupid things, and restoring to a previous save because of dumb AI is ideal and encouraged! This is a problem since the original survivors mod existed.
Consider this auto save tool as your friend

Need Some Help?

For now, disable the sandbox addon mod if you’re having trouble with changing any options in game, or having trouble with turning off the warning message

Remember: Ryuu didn’t create the NPCs mod, only tinkered with it to be less glitchy. So Ryuu may not have the answer to your question, and self-research maybe required.
