Scarborough Rescue Service Vehicle Collection

KH-64 Petrel is a fire fighting oriented heavy lift helicopter (skycrane). not a true replica of a skycrane though its very close. You can drop the attached water tank and use it as a normal helicopter

1. – batt1/batt2 on
2. – gen1/gen2 on
3. – fuel valve 1/2 on
4. – fuel pump 1/2 on
5. – hydraulics a/b/c on
6. – anti ice if required
7. – main systems key
8. – engine master 1/2
9. – engine status will flash while starting then turn solid when running
10. – rotor brake off
11. – idle/flight switch

General use:
press 1 on the pilot or co pilot seat to drop water
The load master has a button above the monitor to drop water also
to refil hover about 20 ft above the water and lower the hose using the panel on the left
you can also refill from land using the k70 fire truck. Just connect the hoses directly from the tanker bypassing the fluid ports.

Autopilot:
– select auto pilot mode (vor is not installed so just heading or waypoint)
– if desired enter a set altitude and engage alt hold
– if using waypoints enter in waypoints in order
– if you want to clear the waypoints you can do this from the map screen on the mfd
– if using heading then enter the desired heading on the keypad
– turn on cruise mode and activate autopilot to begin moving to destination
Position hold
– automatic works best when facing the wind
