Description:

Each era has a beginning and an end. Sometimes this end comes silently. However, the Bronze Age ended with an era of darkness that the world has not seen in over a millennium. Hordes of hungry migrants seeking refuge swept across the Mediterranean, devastating city after city. The peoples of the desert, with nothing to lose, attacked the boundaries of the Mesopotamian empires. For an average inhabitant, in just a few decades the world has changed almost beyond recognition.

It is year 987 BC. After centuries of chaos, the world comes to life again. In Greece, the once powerful Mycenaean Confederation broke up into warring city-states, and in some regions of the country, reading and writing has been forgotten. In Egypt, the Libyan tribes who came to the country in search of a better life joined the fight for the pharaoh’s throne. Canaan has become a battleground between new and old peoples. In Babylon, the rulers change every few years and the land is plundered by Aramaic tribes. But chaos was not present everywhere. Thanks to perseverance and unification under the banner of Ashur, his children survived. And the whole world watched with hope and horror as Assyria dealt with the successive attacks of its enemies. Its rulers were not overthrown and actively worked to end the crisis.
