What is this mod?

Before you comment, I know what you’re thinking… "Another combat mod that only changes unit stats." But no dear friend, unlike all the mods that flood the Workshop including the most vaunted ones this is not just a mod that changes some numbers and pretends to create something new.

This mod adds a wide variety of things that have never been seen in the original game, let’s start with parts since this can be very long.

First a new artificial intelligence has been added and when I say this I don’t mean those mods that supposedly modify the artificial intelligence and only modify the target distance data, I have actually introduced a new artificial intelligence for this mod, where you will notice that he will do more maneuver, he will change his game mode, he will force you to break formations, he will create traps to make you believe that you have won but he only confused you, he will use the properties of the game to deceive you like the morale of his own units to fake retreats, he will look for the point weak part of your army before attacking, and will use the new combat modes to its advantage.

A new combat mode has been introduced. The base game and all other mods only have one which is formation combat. I have been in charge of creating a new one and the "Field Battle" system later we will talk in depth.

A human factor has been introduced in the other units of individualism, in addition to this, a new weight system has been added, so you can finally see what was promised us so much in the trailer and that is that the units when accommodated in their formation will push the others.

In addition to all this, the morale system has been greatly improved, and by this I do not mean the mods that only raise or lower the numbers, but I added a new AI that adapts to morale.

Let’s see everything by points because this is long and it is a new combat system to which you will have to adapt, but I assure you that it is not only more realistic but you will like it more than the original.

What changes does this modification have?

  • Each civilization type will fight differently.
    It will not be the same to fight with the Roman legions, than with the Greeks, the Celts, the Germans, or the desert tribes, each one will act in a totally different way.
  • Improved statering. I can’t remove this, but I managed to make it always disappear and don’t move the camera away. It disappears when your camera is down in the fight. It’s not amazing, but it’s the only thing I could do to fix the engine problem with a large number of units.
