Description:

The General Motors PD-4104 was a 38 or 45 passenger (in game 40) Parlor series coach
built from 1953 to 1960 (in game 1963) in the United States. What made the 4104 so special,
and how did it come to utterly dominate the market? Several factors, but first and foremost,
it was just plainly superior to any other bus being offered at the time.

GM PDX-4901 (“Golden Chariot”) is the coach with large underfloor storage became the standard
configuration for practically all modern highway buses. GM PDX-4901 (“Golden Chariot”), a
giant of a bus that GM had high hopes for, but one that was rejected by potential customers
and never made it into production. Considering that GM utterly dominated the bus market at
the time, and its other buses were copied by everyone else, the failure of the PDX-4901 is
an aberration.
