This mod aims to improve the visual experience of Europa Universalis 4, creating an all new visual look to immerse yourselves whilst conquering local neighboring countries! Zoom in and look at your conquered farmlands while you wait for that pesky aggressive expansion to cool down, and then take on more farmland from your filthy enemies who never deserved them in the first place!
Featuring new textures, balanced together with updated colourful seasons to fit the overall new look. A new readable thick serif font replaces the thin vanilla one, with semi-translucent mapmodes emphasizing the terrain below. In addition the border graphics follow a more minimalistic trend, emphasizing the terrain change by de-colouring the borders and reduced opacity.

To activate either dark borders or dark waters, locate your eu4 mod folder and open europa_reborn.zip > europa_reborn > map > terrain > optional. In the optional folder you’ll find a readme
