The PPSh-41 is one of the most famous smgs of all time,developed by the USSR after facing the Finnish Suomi,it entered service in 1941,being cheaper and faster to produce than previous Soviet smgs.The early model was later improved,and by 1943 it was precisely a better gun.The only part that couldn’t be manufactured with amateur tools was the barrel,which was usually made by sawing a mosin barrel in 2
