Developed in 1942 as a cheap and effective weapon to allow infantry to face any tank (or light vehicle) that the Allies could field at the time.It’s post penetration effects were greater than those of any other infantry anti tank weapons of the era,and it was so effective that the Soviets started issuing spaced armor to counter it,though it wasn’t that effective,as it just meant that 2 shots were needed to penetrate the crew compartment.Many countries used the Panzerfaust,including Finland,Hungary,the USA (captured examples,soldiers usually preferred them to their Bazookas),the Soviet Union (again,captured),and even Polish partisans
