Designed by John Moses Browning as an improvement over the M1893,the M1897 quickly became the most popular shotgun in the USA,during WW2 it was mostly used by the Marines in the Pacific.It’s main advantage over other shotguns of the time was that it could be slam fired,meaning that if you keep the trigger pressed,the gun fires immediately after being ♥♥♥♥♥♥, in a sort of semi automatic way
