[LEGACY] (PA – EotS) Skins Collection
Skins for the next subproject for Project Altirus, Empires of the Sea, featuring larger and more powerful nations with significant naval strength. Haven’t properly started on Empires of the Sea yet, since there are no weapons packs for it and only one map, but here are skins anyway.
Elandric Naval Infantry
Unlike their Bressian rivals, the amphibious troops of the Elandric navy are not part of a very storied service. Though an ancestor of some description saw combat against the Ydrassin empire in its twilight years, the Naval Infantry would not be officially founded until the mid 400s, and would exist largely as a mismatched hodgepodge of armed sailors and land troops. By the time of the Westenlands Wars, however, the Elandric Naval Infantry had seen large-scale restructuring, and would draw significant numbers from the ranks of the army. During the Battle of the Kartasian sea, the naval infantry would act as Elandris’s principle force in securing and holding the various islands and coastal positions that would prove essential in ensuring victory, effectively replacing the army.
Beirunese Royal Marines
Since much of the Beirunese Empire’s territory consists of relatively small islands and distant colonial holdings, her armed forces are often entrusted with amphibious or otherwise remote operations. No branch in the Empire, or arguably any other nation, is better suited to this than the Beirunese Royal Marines. Steeped in tradition both of an ancient warrior caste, and generations of professional soldiers and officers, their creed lies in fitting one’s individual prowess within a larger whole, and persisting even in an absence of dependable supply lines. This has made them the mainstay of Beirunese operations among the buffer islands against their opposite numbers from Altirus.
Bressian Imperial Naval Expeditionary Service (Tropical uniform)
With military matters on the continent being left to her allies, Bressia shifted her focus to the sea, her mastery of which was rarely questioned among the other powers of Altirus. Beirun, however, was not part of Altirus, and their age-old rivalry would come to a head in the modern age in disputes over the buffer islands. Spearheading Bressia’s naval offensive in the eastern sea are the men of the Expeditionary Service of the Imperial Navy. Combining Bressia’s culture of military professionalism with the might of the Imperial Navy, this force may prove more than a match for their Beirunese counterparts.
