Show New Ideas
A simple mod that lists the new national ideas during the swapping ideas event after forming a new nation.

Purpose of this mod:
The purpose of this mod is to allow players to see the ideas they can switch to without having to look them up online
How it works:
The mod alters the text of the event through the localisation mechanic. It does NOT scan the game files of the current installation, all the ideas are writen in plain text into the mod files. At this stage the mod is developed in a semi-manual manner – I use scripts to check if I covered all the relevant nations, but enter the text manually.
Bugs and mistakes might occur.
DLC required:
None. The mod checks for presence of DLCs when relevant and shows what is to my knowledge the appropriate ideas when necessary (for example National sailor modifier instead of Marines limit)
Compatibility with other mods:
This mod alters the text of the ideasgroup.1 event that triggers when forming a nation that has ideas the player can switch to. It will not be compatible with any mod that alters the text of said event, and likely not compatible with any mod that alters other aspects of the event. It will still work, but might not provide accurate information (or none at all), when working with mods that:
– add formable nations (will show no info)
– alter the national ideas of formable nations (will show the original ideas)
– make nations that weren’t formable in the original game formable (will show no info)
