Starforge: Project Redemption Integration Addon
This mod pretty much integrates Project Redemption with Starforge, not a necessary patch at all, just made purely for fun. Among its features include:
- A reworked recipe for the Protector’s set, now crafted at the starforge instead of the replicator, using brand new crafting components.
- A new back item to go with the Protector’s set, the Protector’s Blade!
- An exalted version of the Protector’s set, same techs, buffed stats.
- A new dungeon-related unique weapon, the Protector’s Staff, found within the Protectorate Lab dungeon, exclusive to volcanic and scorched planets. Includes a new codex!
- Minor tweaks.
I would recommend using the FU addon over this mod, as the things done in this mod are non-essential and exist purely because I felt it would be interesting to see. The FU addon meanwhile correct some incompatibilities that arise when using Project Redemption with FU among other things.
In other word, using this mod with the FU addon is not recommended as there will be inconsistencies.
It’s found alongside the Protector’s Mech Body blueprints in a rare fiery system space encounter, you know, those purple swirly things. It’ll take a bit to find, but it’s worth noting that the vertical bounding box of this encounter is noticeably more claustrophobic than others are.
I actually made them both purchasable from a special NPC with Project Redemption, so this isn’t a problem at all, just be sure to have beaten the Erchius Mining Facility, they should show up at the back of the Ark.
Just repair both the Protector’s Broadsword and Handgun, you should unlock its recipe once you’ve repaired both weapons.
They’re found as rare loot from Yukai encounters, as well as plants that grow exclusively on lava ocean planets, the Yukai are the most common on volcanic and lava planets too.
It’s found exclusively on Volcanic and Scorched planets, although keep in mind it can be rather rare.
Credits: Frykas for making Starforge and this mod’s logo, Pixelflame for the basis of the Protector’s Blade sprite, Nitrosteel for the big plasma explosion sprite, Some Moe You Don’t Know for the Staff Component sprite, and lastly CF for making this game a reality in the first place!
