Extra Capacity for Old Stations
There are a number of stations available on the workshop that were published before the shared capacity feature was added to the game.
These stations now find themselves at somewhat of a disadvantage as compared to newer, typically modular, stations.
This mod aims to level the playing field a little. It adds shared storage capacity to a number of older stations, both passenger and freight.
By default, the amount added is the greater of 250 and 100 times the number of platforms on the station. These numbers can be changed by editing the two values at the top of the mod.lua file.
I was going to list all the stations that are supported, but there are quite a number of them. I have included a screenshot of all of them. If you don’t see your favourite station, let me know, and I can see to adding it.
I broke down and added support for the stock modular street stations. For these, the shared capacity will be the greater of 250; 100 times the number of platforms; and the shared capacity that the station would otherwise have on its own. With this mod in place, the first few buildings you add to a street station may have no impact on the station’s storage capacity, as the calculated minimum value may exceed the storage offered by the building modules.
