Description:

The Ambitious A.I. Overhaul Mod.

This is no ordinary vehicle A.I. mod:

Nearly completely rebuilt from scratch with only really VisualStudio and the base game, this A.I. offers many new, irreplaceable functionalities:

Smarter Allies

To help you out among this whole new world and equally powerful enemies, your allies have been thoroughly upgraded!

Access by Selecting Escort A.I. in the AI circle menu like usual (Right-Click-Drag on a Tech with an AI Module)

Your now-powerful loyal A.I. companions have been taught by the TAC A.I.s how to:

Drivers

– Follow the player
+ Tank — Drive land Techs. All A.I.s have this by default.
+ Pilot — Fly airplanes or helicopters
+ Space — Fly Hoverbug or Anti-Gravity spaceships
+ Ship — Sail Seafaring vessels (Needs Water Mod)

Multi-Techs

– Don’t use Build Beam and other techs do not space from these
+ Static — Stay still and shoot enemies
+ Turret — Aim at enemies and shoot enemies
+ Mimic — Copy the actions of the nearest Player (or Allied Tech for GeoCorp)

Utilities

– Assign Tasks
+ Scout — Go out and attack the enemy from afar
+ Protect — Protect allied non-player mobile Techs
+ Fetch — Gather loose blocks from the field

Anchored

– Defend Home
+ Guard — Attack the enemy within bounds of the anchor

Abilities

– Additional AI Features
+ Idle Anchor — Anchor when we are not moving to recharge batteries
+ Repair — Repair battle damage from the last saved state of the Tech
+ Broadside — Shoot enemies with the sides of this Tech
+ Advanced Avoidance — The A.I.’s path-finding can deal with multiple Techs better
+ Advanced A.I. — Make combat judgments and generally upgraded abilities

But each Corporation’s A.I. module can only do certain things.

You must collect them all to make the best A.I.

BUT that’s not just all, there’s an RTS Mode!

If you have RTS Mode enabled:

Click Commanding

-> Middle-Mouse on any subject and the A.I. will focus-fire on it.
-> Enter Photo Mode -OR- Press K to toggle Group Commands.
-> Left-Click drag to Area-Select.
-> Press J to mass-assign A.I. states.
-> Press I to command them back to where you are.
-> Right-Click on any subject and the A.I. will perform the task if it can.
-> You can control MULTIPLE TECHS now with your mouse.

Harder Enemies
With better allies comes scarier enemies.

The Enemy adapts to it’s given weapons in a snap and can fight correctly with it.
Each Enemy Tech design has it’s own unique statistics and ways of world interaction.
You can tell how dangerous an Enemy is based off of their floating icon.

These enemies can drive cars, tanks, planes, helicopters, spaceships, Multi-Tech constructs, and even boats if you have the mod.
They will attack, mine, sell, and build to insure their prospecting success on the Off-World.

Their Goal: Build bases and, if possible, exploit your turf for more resources. They also fight each other too offscreen.

Then it’s only a matter of time before they begin to launch attacks of their own…
Friendly Prospectors

Not all Base Bombs are bad eggs. Some are also just trying to mine or friendly!
There’s a mighty small chance you will encounter the Purple or Green teams.
Green Techs are allied with you and will not attack you, but other Techs.
Purple Tech will not attack unless provoked

Hold [T] and Right-Click to open communications with them.
Extended Random Tech Spawns

You can also push your own Techs to this population locally to challenge yourself.

Basically there’s new aircraft that spawn in the game that can strike from above. Early game they are annoying but late game it becomes spooky.
Ships sail into the scene as well for the Water Mod! Although you may want to be wary of them – they don’t care how far in the game you are and are very deadly early-game.

If you would like to contribute to this mod’s Global Community Population Pool, consider joining the Official TerraTech Forums:
Community-Made Population Pool on the Official TerraTech Forums[forum.terratechgame.com]

Alternatively you can export your own Techs in a fast-load format to the population in Creative or R&D.
The folder is just outside your TerraTech install directory, in the "Raw Techs" folder.

Multiplayer is supported but is very unstable!
We need your help prospectors to make it better!

If you would like to support us, you can by reporting any multiplayer bugs encountered with this mod with the output from Random Additions’ special bug reporter in the "Bug Reports" thread below:
😀

Now that your have your army…

Retake your turf back from those marauders and show them who’s boss!

Made possible with help from Sozin, community supporters who submitted Techs to the Community-Made Population Pool, and countless bug-testers in the TerraTech Forums and Discord communities!

Formerly known as TACtical AI in reference to Kingdoms TAC’s Legion-like origins and bleeding-edge A.I. development in the Unofficial Modding scene, Advanced Artificial Intelligence aims to bring more challenge out of the A.I.

Disclaimer

Note that this mod still allows the Vanilla Enemy A.I. to work for the lower enemy difficulties.
While this mod is made with both causal and experienced players in mind, the new features add more enemy difficulty and diversity to the game.
So if you haven’t finished a campaign play-through without Advanced AI yet, I highly suggest you do that first before subscribing to this mod.
The videos contain small spoilers of future mods like TAC Pack Core, TAC Pack Super Weapons, TAC Pack Starfighters, Unofficial Missions and Anime A.I. Also cameo of the MLRS from Rabis’ Custom Blocks.
Not all footage contains content related to this mod.

The Workshop Icon for this mod does not portray actual coding but a simplified summary of what the mod does.

If this mod is active in an unmodded lobby, then it’s a bug.

0ModManager is still highly advised – Lets this mod work the below mods for more awesome!

Config Helper – Enables extended mod settings menu saving
NativeOptions – Enables in-game Settings Mod Tab for this mod’s many settings like enemy spawn rates, hotkeys, difficulty, etc.
With both of the above mods installed – If you really want a serious challenge, you can let the enemy AI use the creative inventory, turn up natural spawn rates, or enable Ragnarok or Eradication mode, which both makes the world a f*bron-ton more dangerous and difficult.

Use at your own risk on Unstable Branch!
