Description:
BANDANA DEE SPEARS AHEAD INTO RIVALS OF AETHER

BANDANA DEE’S STAGE (WADDLE DEE TRAIN TRACKS): https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2825513239

Overview

He’s not just a Waddle Dee with a hat, he’s the spear-throwing Bandana Dee! With his rapid spear attacks, make sure to stab through any competitors!
As you might expect Bandana Dee is a headfirst warrior, using his mighty spear to attack!

Neutral Special – Spear Throw

Bandana Dee chucks a spear forward, but if held can then throw up to three spears that deal more damage.

Bandana Dee much like the games is able to walk back and forth slowly while charging the move only on the ground. As if used in air then he jousts chucks a weak damaging spear forward only.

Spears that hit the ground will stick onto the ground until attacked by an opponent or by the Waddle Dee who put it down.

Forward Special (Ground) – Circus Toss

Bandana Dee pulls out his parasol and scoops upwards in an attempt to grab the opponent. If successful, he twirls them on his parasol before launching the opponent away. You can choose between three different throw directions with Fspecial: Left, Right, or Up. Use this to mix up the opponent’s DI and start combos.

If Bandana Dee grabs a spear with it, he does a faster twirl before throwing the spear in one of the 3 spear directions, allowing you to stab forward with spears in several angles with one move. Grabbing both an opponent and a pinned spear at the same time causes him to throw both at once, dealing additional damage for each spear grabbed.

Forward Special (Air) – Parasol Dive

Bandana Dee sticks his parasol below him before diving downwards. Acting as a stall and fall move, this attack functions similarly to Orcane Dair on hit.

Bandana Dee’s double jump gets restored if he goes through the whole attack’s duration, allowing you to extend and mix up your recovery.

Up Special – Waddlecopter

Bandana Dee twirls his spear above him to rise upwards, rapidly hitting opponents as he ascends. This move acts as a fairly solid vertical recovery, though it’s not especially fast to rise.

After a short bit of time, Bandana Dee will start to slowly drift downwards, allowing you to float down to safety with no lag once you land, though you are fairly easy target while doing this.

Pressing down while drifting downwards will exit the slow fall and enter pratfall, allowing you to drop faster at the cost of incurring landing lag once you do land.

Down Special – Megaton Punch

Bandana Dee gets ready to punch the ground, this is where a pendulum will appear above his head. Timing the move perfectly (when the dot is centered) will cause BWD to punch the ground as hard as he can, sending rocks shooting up that act as strong vertical killing hits.

If you miss the center BWD will still punch the ground just with no rocks, acting as a short ranged launcher with high hitstun. If there are any spears pinned when you use Dspecial, they will get launched into the air. Perfectly timing Dspecial causes spears to get launched higher.

You are able to cancel out of the readied stance quickly by pressing parry.

Down Special (Air) – Aerial Megaton Punch

Bandana Dee gets ready to punch the ground, this is where a pendulum will appear above his head. Timing the move perfectly (when the dot is centered) will cause BWD to storm down the ground as hard as he can, sending rocks shooting up similar to the grounded version upon landing.

You can cancel this if you so happen to miss the opponent by jumping, airdodging, or using USpecial. Though if you miss the center BWD will dive down holding his fist forward, acting as a weaker stall and fall.

You are able to cancel out of the readied stance quickly by pressing parry. This cancel is slightly more committal than the grounded version, but can be used to mix up your aerial approach.
