There is a single case of blocking a building from 1-528KP-41 (I’ll post it if I make KP-41). Very often, minor changes and point engineering solutions were made to the project, up to a change in the internal layout, such modifications are not presented in fashion. There are isolated cases of the construction of «mirrored» houses. These houses have never been built or restored with glazed balconies or loggias. It is worth noting that various options for exterior decoration of houses were often used; on their basis, 8 options for repainting buildings were created:

The project was originally created as an individual one, commissioned by one of the first in the USSR housing-construction cooperatives «Mayak» in the Vyborgsky district of Leningrad. When designing, the decisions of the meeting of future residents were taken into account. The first buildings were built at 26 Dresdenskaya Street and 90 Torez Ave. These houses became an event in the architectural and construction practice of Leningrad. In contrast to the typical faceless large-panel Khrushchev buildings, the new buildings had a simple but peculiar plastic appearance: the alternation of multi-colored bricks in the facades, the «interruption» of the number of storeys, the memorable ratio of blank walls, loggias, openings. The small building area of the building made it easy to «implement» it in a variety of quarters. In addition, the houses were relatively inexpensive to manufacture. In fact, this project became one of the first swallows in overcoming the «Khrushchevism» in mass construction, both in terms of appearance and planning standards. Thanks to these features, the project gained popularity among both professional architects and ordinary citizens, became an all-Union one and was often used in cooperative construction. Critics noted: «the house remains a model for achieving an expressive result with the most meager means.» According to Professor Yu.I. Kurbatov, «the project saved the development of new quarters of Leningrad from gloomy monotony.» In addition, the project was noted by publications in the prestigious foreign publications L’Architecture d’aujourd’hui (1964) and The Architectural Review (1965), and the architect N.N. Nadezhin gained all-Union fame.
On each floor there are two 1- and 2-room flats and one 3-room flat, which are separated by main walls; there are no load-bearing walls inside the flats. The rooms are quite spacious, there are no «corridor» types. In 1-room flats, the bathroom is combined, in the rest — separate. Almost all flats face two sides and have a balcony or loggia. The houses are equipped with a passenger lift (320 kg) and a garbage chute that run in the center of the landing and do not border on any of the flats, thanks to which the house has good sound insulation. Three flats face the main landing, which has a spacious loggia.
