Description:

Since Paradox added hybrid cultures in 1.5, Arabic rulers always throw away the caliphate, get independent, mix their culture with local minorities and live independently forever, which is not historical. So every game, cultural map of the Middle-east ends up like this:

I played this game for 2000 hours so far, always on 867 bookmark. But never seen any Turkish presence in Persia or Anatolia yet. So this mod is mainly focusing on fixing this problem. But I didn’t want to kill the alternative history possibilities of the game which is the reason why we play this game over thousands of hours. Because in each playthrough, it generates a unique experience for us. So it would be the easiest solution to spawn some famous historical figures in a certain region with a 50K army. But instead I wanted let Turks spread into the region organically and help them to form Turko-Persian, Turko-Afghan and Azeri cultures.

Turkish Adventurers

There are now Turkish adventurers, just like the vikings. They gather an army of nomads who recently converted to Islam. They’re seeking to carve out a realm in foreign lands.

  • By default, every 5 years, they’ll choose a duchy in Persia region and try to conquer it.
  • Frequency of their visits can be adjusted from the game rules (rare, occasional, frequent, apocalyptic)
  • Choosing the target land depends on the terrain. They will try to aim drylands mostly and avoid mountains.
  • They will avoid targeting a Persian kingdom/empire, for the sake of an alternative history possibility.
  • They will avoid targeting Arabian Empire (Abbasids) and caliphates too.
  • They will prefer settling on Persian and Afghan lands. (to spawn Turko-Persian and Turko-Afghan hybrid cultures)
  • They will also prefer settling on Azerbaijan and Shirvan. (to create Azeri divergent culture)
  • Stops when there is a Persian Empire

Minorities

Now Armenians and Kurdish people won’t be bullied by their overlords easily. They may carry on their legacy to next generations without losing their original identities. I added Staunch Traditionalist to both of them to prevent unhistorical hybrid cultures

  • Replaced Futuwaa with Isolationist & Staunch Traditionalist in Kurdish traditions
  • Replaced Eastern Roman Legacy with Staunch Traditionalist in Armenian traditions


Azeri Melting Pot

I didn’t add any new culture to this mod, they all exist in the game already, as can be seen here.[ck3.paradoxwikis.com]. But it’s almost impossible to form them for AI. So I wanted to help AI a little bit. Now Oghuz culture spreads in Azerbaijan and Shirvan duchies. But with a MTTH[eu4.paradoxwikis.com] of 200 years.
