DESCRIPTIONThe M4A0 "Bishop" is an amphibious wheeled 8×8 IFV. After the success of the M3A0 "Knight" ICV the Newquay Marine Corps recognized that it did not have enough firepower or armour to act in fire support role. NordahlLunden’s Infantry Fighting Vehicle based on the same AMV platform as the M3A0 was selected as it retained the high mobility of the M3A0 both on land and in water whilst also boasting more armour and firepower. The M4A0 is capable of transporting a reduced squad of 7 and providing effective and lethal direct fire support to infantry thanks to its advanced fire control and the L40/87A2 main gun. Thanks to additional NERA elements and a softkill active protection systems the M4A0 is well protected from fire by all but the heaviest calibre of guns.
The M4A0’s primary user is the Newquay Marine Corps 2nd Regiment, 2nd Armoured battalion ("Hollow Hearts"). The Regiment has had several combat deployments where it has very successfully employed the M4A0’s but their main combat experience comes from their supporting of the Monarchist forces in the Ostlean civil war.
OPERATIONDRIVER
- Flick the yellow MAIN POWER BREAKER on the left side of the seat.
- Turn the IGNITION key on the right side of the seat.
- Throttle up using W/S and shift up from neutral using UP/DOWN once engine reaches around 450 RPM.
COMMANDER
- To use Hunter-Killer system flick the CPS switch and rotate the CPS to a desired heading using A/D, then press TRIGGER to activate the system.
- To use the softkill APS press the MISSLE APPROACH WARNING button and flick the ARM SOFTKILL APS switch.
GUNNER
- To fire the weapons you need to flick the MASTER ARM switch, coaxial is fired via the 1 hotkey and main gun via TRIGGER.
- To enable ballistic calculations flick the FIRE CONTROL SYSTEM switch located next to the MASTER ARM switch.
